Hi everyone,

recently i tested a new product that is able to use an external GPU card on a mac laptop. the results were pretty good and i just want to share it with fellow users here and who it might be useful to.

Product: Netstor NA211TB (now ThunderBolt 2) ThunderBolt to PCIe

Tested with a GTX 680 4GB on Davinci Resolve (video editing), getting about 18 FPS, (previously was only 3-4.5 FPS using default MBP video card) when converting 2.5K resolution footages

For anyone that needs a boost in GPU, this is able to speed up FCPX, Adobe CUDA apps if you're using a macbook pro or iMAC with a slow video card.

For more information, please contact the following for more enquiries:

Mocha Chai Laboratories
Blk 71 Ayer Rajah Crescent #06-14
Tel No: 6773 6360
Look for Chai YeeWei.

Hope this will help others as it has helped me. :)

What is the SRP for ur Netstor NA211TB?
US$899 ...? Is it not overprice?

I'm Mac user and I am still wanting for the release for Silverstone T004 AKA Asus XG2 Station.

Hi,

for me, i think the pricing is alright, compared to the various workflows out there, this is a solution that i can work with now and able to support what I'm doing as well. for the price and the boost I'm getting, i think its doable and affordable, and its less time consuming on my side. :)
