Zen X-Fi 2 have EOL long ago. And i doubt Creative would do anything to it.

But im quite surprise that your laptop could not detect your Zen X-Fi 2. Since it is a MTP player, you might wanna uninstall the drivers first. Then re-insert it back as new detection.

OR

You could try with another pc.

As for the older mp4 player. I'm afraid you can't do anything to it since it cant power up.

What about going for data recovery services? (Their services do not come cheap though.)
