I still think competition is important for the industry. Don't want Qualcomm to dominate entirely, not sure why Dimensity 1000 is taking so long to get adopted by other phone vendors. Performance quite good and the chipset is not bad.

So has the so called "competition" benefited consumers so far? RRP of fagship Android handsets continue to grow year on year and customers outside of China or the US continue to be at the losing for the overheating Exynos.

Well, flagship prices continue to go up, but the midrange have been getting better and better. Dimensity phones have been very competitively priced in Europe, though for some reason we don't have much choices here. Competition is there, but it's mostly in the midrange which is nice. Maybe we'll see price changes eventually.

I mean the issue for past exynos comes from their own M3/M5 cores.

Now exynos uses ARM cores which means it will be likely comparable to other Arm core based SoCs like Kirin/Dimensity?

Honestly I don't like how Qualcomm has been doing business even if they have the best SoC in the market, hopefully more viable competition will change how they do business.
