It is not 'relisted'. F&N was halted due to the GO. With TCC saying they want F&N to continue to be traded, SGX has agreed and gave them until 19 July to restore the 10% float.

And no, regardless of the price which F&N is being traded at, it is not going to be toilet paper. NAV is around $8.7, and a huge chunk is cash (remember, they sold APB to Heineken at USD 4.6 billion).

I definitely interested to buy your toilet paper.:s13:

Thankie for info! got what you mean.

I thought it would become something like allgreen and scglobal.(in this case privatize)
If you didnt sell within the given period, once delisted, your holdings would be unable to liquidate.

Thbev also good move, continue to list f&n, can tap funds if needed.

Results are out. Of most interest is the proposed capital reduction/cash distribution of $3.28 per share :s22:

F&N distributing all this cash out as dividends, not through Thaibev? Like that Thaibev price will plunge it seems haha.

Not vested in either.

I'm not sure how it works, Thaibev owns ~19% F&N, the rest owned by TCC, so Thais are just taking money out of F&N and giving to themselves more or less?

Anybody knows what's the implications?

Does that means the Thais really want to dismember F&N; they already taking one big chunk of the money out of it? Leaving F&N as no more than an empty shell.

Will F&N share price rise or fall from current value (about $9)?

Will ThaiBev share price rise? They're getting this huge chunk of $ and I don't think it's factored into the stock price.

1) F&N will fall by at least $3.28 upon ex date.
2) It does not mean the money goes to Thai Bev; Charoen leveraged extensively to finance this M&A deal and the capital distribution would like benefit him/TCC Assets and not Thai Bev because these are two separate vehicles.

Minus Tiger/APB, F&N still holds considerable consumer bev and property business. Since he is keeping it listed, I don't him likely to strip assets from F&N.

Just my simple thoughts.

I personally think this is good news for Thbev since they probably wouldn't need to raise funds through rights issue just to balance back the balance sheet.

XD and went down to around $5.54, but closed at $5.63. Got vested somewhere in the middle of this. Let's see where it goes from here.

F&N Proposes $606.9m Payout
Fraser & Neave (F&N) has proposed a cash distribution of approximately $606.9 million, or $0.42 per share, to shareholders via a capital reduction exercise.
As at 30 September 2013, F&N holds $737.4 million from the net proceeds of share issuance to Seletar Investments, a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings, in January 2007, which are unutilised.
The management is of the view that the firm has excess capital and the exercise would allow F&N to achieve a more efficient capital structure.

F&N at 2008 GFC price versus F&N current price are two different things woh.

U have to understand, the current situation reflects the restructuring of F&N and the perceived discount is not as "discounted" as 2008.

i am more concern whether the restructuring would bring F&N to new heights
