Fatal accident at Joo Chiat.

A 66-year-old traffic controller died following an accident with a road roller in Joo Chiat on March 3.

The road-roller operator, a 39-year-old man, was arrested for causing death by a negligent act.
The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the work-related accident involving a road roller and a traffic controller in Carpmael Road at about 4pm.

Condolences to the family of the victim.

There was another case in 2022 also a 72 years old uncle traffic controller. He move to front to alert the driver but get clash instead.
