Faulty 500gb harddrive

HI there

I was using a seagate 500gb hard drive developed in 2012. Yesterday it was working on my laptop. As my laptop parts spoiled I removed the hard drive, the hard drive on external drive not detected. Not even disk management. However I heard the 2.5 drive spinning.

Try direct connect to sata port via a desktop PC?
