Faulty PSU?

My wife's desktop rig recently can't start up. Pressing the power button does absolutely nothing, no lights, no spinning fans etc.

Problem was intermittent before, but now completely cannot start up for days.

Suspect the Antec PSU is kaput.

As I got the rig from PC Themes, do you know if I will be able to bring it back to them to take a look and troubleshoot? Antec PSU has 5 years warranty, so perhaps if it's a PSU issue I can get a replacement?

Because it's a microATX case, everything is squeezed into a small Lian Li casing and it's a real pain to remove separate components and to put back in, unlike my main rig in a tower case. Will PC Themes or some other shop help with troubleshooting?

Since you bought the whole rig from PCT, bring it back to them with your invoice. May or may not incur diagnostics charges. They should be able to dismantle and send the PSU back for warranty claims, but this will take time and you may not get the PC back on the same day/week/month.

Anyway, on the topic, you can bring it to pc themes to take a look. Another choice is to find Nigel from pc care and solution #02-32. Either way, if hardware kaput, you still need to bring it in for rma. Pc themes also cannot exchange one for you 1-to-1 after so long. You gotta go to the distributor for rma.
