I got a new build recently with the following specs
Asus B150 Pro gaming aura
8x2gb ram g.skill Ripjaws
i5-6500
samsung evo 850
WD blue 1TB
win 10
gtx 970
superflower ledex 550w
However i seem to be plagued with BSOD at times, the errors are either BAD MEMORY, BAD POOL HEADER etc. Sometimes the BSOD does not happen and i can do my own stuff with no issue. There was even once windows will not startup (i.e all i see is the circle dots loading and a black screen). tried to readup on google and seems to show this is related to RAM issues so would like to seek advise based on the following
-Have updated my drivers, checked malware and antivirus, only did not update BIOS to latest as i read that its as a last resort.
- have tried reslotting the RAM sticks, correct ram slots according to manual
- already reformatted due to the black screen of death that never start windows
- did a memory test and it did say hardware problems detected at the start
one key thing i noted is the full model read as F4-2400C15D-16GVR which is not found on the manual for the motherboard though there are similar ones, unsure if this is due to a newer model not updated.
have also noticed that this cause some software issues like websites crash and unable to load, games will sometime just crash and stop responding
so would like to see if did i buy the wrong RAMs, or the RAMs i got was faulty to begin with? or the issue lies elsewhere
