Actually I teach my children that needs are relative.

sometimes I make my 3yo to give up seat to elderly. 3yo hurt, I can carry. Elderly hurt, I cannot.

other times. I take a seat cos my legs are simply too tired to stand. So I see elderly who looked abled and stable, I won’t give up seat. If I see elderly who looks frail, then I’ll give it up

If the kid is able to stand stable, then no need to give up seat but the parent or caregiver has to hold his hand. But sometimes he will want a seat so see who will give up the seat for sake of peace.

Nowadays commuters irregardless of ages very eager fighting for seats once the door opens

Worst is seats are removed from some cabins

Some buses fare no better tho

Recently, due circle line cockup,
I’ve switched to taking buses more frequently.

I’ve observed many elderly commuters; some using walking sticks and others struggling with mobility having difficulty finding seats

In particular, bus#80 with 3-doors which had noticeably high steps - very elderly-unfriendly !

I’m cordially inviting the parents of the one whom approved and imported such buses to come on board for a joyride
