Feedback on ambiguity treatment

I would like to bring to your attention that I am baffled by the penalty. I admit my expression in thread could bring unwanted and undesired attention but I still want to know why am I being penalize for it.

In the EDMW subforum, it is meant for casual discussion and there is zero attempt from my part to invoke or incense any rifts or debates as I have clearly indicated that I am seeking advice and suggestion on mediation retreat.

Agreed. I feel there is a discrepancy in the treatment of certain forumers. On one hand of the spectrum we have loud mouths who stir sentiments by belittering people - they mostly get off scott free (?)

Yet someone who types in a local context for comic relief gets infracted.

Would like to seek clarification from the admin/mod who issued the infraction what was the rationale for concluding his post as trolling.

It was not entirely clear whether it was because of (1)his style of posting (dots in place of spaces with singlish) or (2) the perceived ill intention to stir up trouble by creating two theads asking about where to find two different religious abode.

If the grounds for issuing him points for trolling was based on (1), as a fellow forummer I find it unacceptable as his writing style is harmless and does not constitute breaking of any forum rules.

if the ground was for (2), o implore the admin to review the infraction as TS has already explained that his intention was to explore two different religious background for meditation retreat. he intended to keep the two questions as separate thread in an effort to avoid any misinterpretation that he was trying to stir up emotions of discomfort between the two different religions or unnecessary argument from both religious supporters in the same thread.

Imo his actions are guided by good intention and does not deserve the said infraction point.

I wish the admin team will review this case as early as possible.

If InnovaIQ got into trouble because of his style of typing, it should be pointed out that the forum is EDMW and everyone types poorly there. There is no minimum standard of typing required by the written rules. If the issue is the excessive dots being "unreadable", it can be seen that many of the other forummers can understand him well enough to have conversations with him and that there are many ways to type where another person could find "unreadable".

I think it is worse that people can abuse the report function to remove whatever they disagree with, from poor typing to subject matters that they disagree with and it seems that recently there has been a witch-hunt regarding the latter.

Without freedom of discussions of religion there can be no mutual understanding, only more prejudice.

Well, pretty much what I want to say had been said here.

Firstly, many of us can understand him, and in EDMW, where rarely had any post been done in proper former Queen's English, his posting style is far from being "unreadable".

Secondly, his intention on creating two threads was because he was asking two totally different topics, something which any level-headed person would do, as we all know how easily conflicts can arise in threads which brings in people with opposite viewpoints. He was avoiding a potiential conflict, which any troll would WANT to start instead.

Like I said before, I support the reversal of InnovalQ's recent infractions.
