Hi all, I am planning to build a mATX system. My main usage is surfing, Youtube, Netflix, video-editing & perhaps some light 1080p/1440p FPS gaming. Primary concern is desktop space & also a quieter PC.

Planning to buy (budget $1.7k)
---------------------------------------------------

M/B: MSI B450M Mortar or Gigabyte Aorus B450M or ASRock B450M Steel Legend (unsure which one?)
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
HDD: AData XPG SX8200pro NVME 1TB
GPU: Zotac GTX 1660TI AMP 6GB
PSU: CoolerMaster MWE Gold 550W(fully modular)
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Mini(due to space constraints), is this mATX?

Bought/Re-use:
----------------------

RAM: 16GB x 2 G.Skills RipJaw V Series CL16 3200mhz (bought)

Monitor 2: Dell Monitor U2311H (Re-use)

Some issues/questions here:

1) using Dell old monitor which has DVI-D & Zotac card do not have any DVI-D port? What shall I do? get new monitor or is there a convertor? what is the name of the converter if there is one? or I should get a card with DVI-D like Galax 1660TI?

2) Mainboard choice? I'm conflicted between MSI B450M Mortar or Gigabyte Aorus B450M or ASRock B450M Steel Legend? Which is good?

3) is ITX better than mATX in my scenario?

4) any need for additional fans/cooler?

Any comments or opinions for the parts would be appreciated. Thanks for the help!

thanks!

is Seasonic Focus Plus 550W 80+Gold better than CM psu?

great! thank u

Similar psu quality i would say? Just that seasonic build their own psu whereas CM OEM from someone, maybe even seasonic themselves.

Can also consider fractal design focus g mini which is matx case, $79. Shld have better airflow than tecware Nexus M.

For b450, get MSI and MSI b450 max series will support ryzen 3000 right out of the box.

Seasonic is good, my pc is been running for 6 years no issues.

As for ITX it depends, there alot of restrictions that you need to consider, like the case that you want to get, graphic card dimension, PSU size etc. This will increase your overall budget.

Get something like Lian Li Tu150 if you want to go to ITX seems like it is easier to build and got TG if u want

If your dell monitor only got DVI-D, then get a HDMI to DVI-D cable.

You can also consider Cooler Master NR400. Previously bought it for a fren build and he likes it more than his focus g mini which was for his wife.

You can consider Tecware Alpha M for airflow matx case. Also GTX 1660 Super might be better value if you are wiling to wait for it to be released.

Hmm might wanna consider other graphic card. Gtx 1660 barely enough for 1400p gaming.
