I just bought a new Rita PMP Exam Prep, 8th Ed at $95 and opted for self-collection at NTUC Bras Basah counter.

I just passed my PMP. Took my course with New Horizon. The lecturer is very experienced and focused on how PMP exam format. NH offers weekend classes and service actually quite good, not sure why forums are flaming them.

Can pm me if you need info.

Why is it that ISS (NUS) is offering the course at half the price to others at S$1155.60? Is it citrep? I emailed them for specifics on what the WDA funding is but the person it seems chose not to answer the question.

I took a course with NUS ISS before but is not PMP. Tea break and buffet lunch is provided. WDA funding is even better than CITREP! You only need to pay the discounted price, unlike CITREP where you have to pay the full price first, only having passed the exam then can claim back from IDA CITREP funding. But location is abit unaccessible.

You add in the exam fee will be around the same price region as other providers. Yet, under CITREP can still claim 50%

NUS has WDA funding which is 70% for Singaporean and PR. This funding is applied upon course booking, so you only need to pay 30% upfront.

WDA funded courses include additional material based upon the government NICF framework. This means that completing PMP at NUS-ISS will give you additional certificates for the Competency Units (CU) that are part of the course.

For CITREP you pay 100% upfront, then if you pass, you can claim 50% from the course fees. This will take approximately 3 months.

For those who took at COMAT, are the questions / notes provided by the centre enough?

Was looking to supplement with the Rita Mulcahy book and maybe some online test.

Pass PMP in First Attempt

Hi,

Reading books and attending classes will not really help in passing the PMP exam. You need to understand the real tips and tricks and need to review sample questions with reasons for selecting the right answer. In PMP all answers are correct answers for the given question, but you must choose the right answer. You can contact GV management consultancy to have the review session for 2 days which really helps you to pass in first attempt. The trainer is PMP certified with vast experiences and explains with real life examples which helps in your work environment as well.

I passed at my PMP first attempt; the following resources helped me.

1) Rita book
2) Rita exam's simulation software
3) PMZilla; this site contains a lot of tips; looked out for tips by others who have passed their exams and their compiled notes

Good luck.

Btw, if you are Singaporean or PR, then this is CITREP endorsed. 50%; capped at SGD$2,500.

hi guys, quick check here - I am currently planning to take the PMP soon but I only clocked 24 hours for my formal training.

Anyone knows if there are any 2 days course or elearning that can be part of the formal training?

how much does a PMP certification cost?

Hi Cookie Muncher,

I work in Global Knowledge. The course fees will be $3,300 and exam fees will be $735.

Hope this helps you.

Hi Cookie Muncher,

NTUC learning hub is selling at a cheaper price. The course fees is $1744 (before gst) and includes both course and exam. For more information, you can visit the course and exam website.

I'm thinking of doing CAPM but not too sure about it.

Is there a self-study pack + private registration thingy?
How is the exam administered and how often? Test center / online?

Thanks!
