Feedback on Ryzen rig before I hoot

Hello guys, I'd like to have some feedback before I hoot the below items for my new productivity / gaming rig with a little bit of RGB goodness.

Budget is SGD2200ish exclude monitor. Will be upgrading to a 1440p monitor. No need for OC. On wireless.

Ryzen 7 2700X
MSI B450 Pro Carbon AC
Corsair Vengeance PRO RGB 3200Mhz (or G.skill?)
M.2 Samsung Evo 860 500GB SSD (M.2 worth it?)
2.5" Samsung Evo 860 500GB SSD
2TB Toshiba 7200 RPM
Seasonic FP FX 650W (feel like going for 550W?)
Corsair Crystal Series 460X (damn ex, maybe go with Silverstone RL06)
Not sure if onboard wireless adapter is good enough, if not I'll go with an ASUS PCE-AC88
And probably some Corsair ML140 fans ...

And I'll be using back my old Zotac GTX 1080 Amp.

Close also need to wait for at least 4 weeks to be sold in SG ma. No working com at the moment.

if that's the case, consolidate both the ssd drive capacity into 1 m2 ssd (>=1tb) bah - less cables to manage too

other than that, spec looks pretty good to me

Just make sure you buy the processor at well below SRP. No need to play the waiting game if you need it urgently for work.

Not urgently needed for work lol, watch drama and play Apex nia. Now the 2700X w/ MOBO is SGD 700ish with Division 2, which I play. I am indeed afraid that when Ryzen 3XXX comes out in 4-6 weeks, the remaining 2700X will go for half the price


Not that I would go for second hand though.

Heheh, just 3 front intake fans and 1 back exhaust. Still thinking if I should go for 2 x top exhaust. Overkill much?

But other than that, RGB on rams, motherboard and stock Ryzen cooler … so actually its minimal la...

just go for 2 top as well. even if not rgb, have additional fan better

Note that some B450 boards have “inferior” VRMs compared to higher end x470 boards so if you plan on swapping cpu to 3000 series might run into issues. Not sure how that mobo you have chosen stacks up tho

why you need so many ssd though... for me my needs are similar to yours and i built my rig recently with 2600x instead of 2700x. i bought a 500GB M2 Samsung Evo 860 Pro to use for my games. price difference from SATA SSD is negligible so why not...

my OS i boot from a Crucial MX500 250GB HDD which i scavenged from my PS4 and 3TB HDD which i owned previously. with this amount of storage already overkill i feel. unless you keep a lot of drama's and movies that you already watched before...

stick with the 650w psu, more future proof... i would try and see where you can trim the fat based on your needs and put the money into the monitor...

Almost the same as my build except for the GFX. If you must use wifi , get the external. The onboard performance isn't great

If we use Ram that is not in motherboard's qualified list, will the ram still work at specifications, ie PC3200 ram runs at 3200 speed?
