Feedback/recommendation on PC build

Hi guys,

I am looking to get a new rig that can possibly last for the next 5-6 years. Using it for a combination of work/play (e.g. PES, FPS games).

Below is what I have come up with and hope to get some feedback or recommendation on the items or places to buy. Prices quoted below are from Dynacore except for the RAM (from Amazon).

1) CPU - i7-11700K

2) Motherboard - MSI MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon (Bundle with CPU at S$1,122) or MSI MAG Z590 Tomahawk WIFI (Bundle at S$999) Considering the price difference S$123 between these two, any advice on which one is better/more value for money?

3) RAM - Cruicial Ballistix 3600 MHz DDR 8GBx2 (S$136)

4) SSD - WD Black SN750 1TB (S$225)

5) PSU - Leadex iii SuperFlower 850W Gold (S$145) Looking for a full modular PSU (preferably 750-850W), any other recommendation?

6) Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black (S$66)

7) Case - Looking at Cooler Master or Corsair for the ATX case, any recommendation on this?

8) GPU - Using the integrated graphics for now

I will chip in some since I also recently just completed my build last month. You may also want to list down your budget for the build?
7.7 Sales is tml, suggest you to add those parts to your wishlist in Lazada, Shopee. Get the vouchers if still available, then wack the list if pricing is flavorable to you. That's what I did during 6.6 and Prime.

SSD - WD SN750 1TB, u can get from Amazon SG as well. This is now $201.12. I got it cheaper ($162) during Prime Day. This is also supposedly internation warranty for WD, so no harm getting it cheaper from Amazon.

Cooler - Scythe brand is one you can look as well. Do a search in this forum.

corsair 4000d super good airflow case, also i personally think cm212 is a pretty outdated cooler although it's very wellknown, bequiet/noctua might be a better option

For the Intel k chip always good to invest 2 fan base cpu cooler with push pull air flow for potential OC/normal cooling because it will run hotter than non k chip.

Do consider the brands suggested by members in this thread and yes there are good options.

Budget will be around S$1,800 excluding the GPU. Will search the forum for the Scythe brand.

Will check out Corsair 4000d. Any other brands/models at similar price point to Corsair 4000d that I can consider too? My impression is that CM or Corsair cases are better (might be wrong), but also open to other brands.

For the cooler, bequiet will be referring to the shadow rock 3 model right? Any particular models of Noctua that I should look at? Thanks for helping!

No theme in mind, more towards functionality (i guess black) and don’t require any RGB.

Memory can get Crucial ballistix 16GB 3600 for S$127 in amazon.sg.

Cooling wise, this is the HS i was looking at: Thermalright TS120 and Sycthe Mugen 5. You can consider them too.

Yup I got the Crucial Ballistix price from Amazon SG but I factored in a $7-8 delivery fee quoted on the site.

2) Motherboard - MSI MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon (Bundle @ S$1,122) or MSI MAG Z590 Tomahawk WIFI (Bundle @ S$999)

3) RAM - Crucial Ballistix 3600 MHz DDR 8GBx2 (S$128 @ Amazon)

4) SSD - WD Black SN750 1TB (S$201 @ Amazon). Saw the heatsink variant at S$217, advisable to get the heatsink instead?

5) PSU - Leadex iii SuperFlower 850W Gold (S$158) or Corsair RM750 750W (S$175). Is it a good choice to switch it out for Corsair that has a longer warranty period but at a lower PSU? Assuming if I wish to upgrade to 32GB and potentially get a 3080 card in the future?

6) Cooler - Scythe Fuma 2 (S$75)

7) Case - Corsair 4000D Black (S$134)

Total cost: S$1,818 with Z590 Gaming Carbon. Appreciate the inputs so far thanks

Very useful information! Took a look at the website and the motherboard indeed comes with two onboard M.2 Shield Frozr

If compare, pay more for extra power phrase, better audio chipset(opt out), ax wifi, extra m.2 heatsink.
aio is getting cheaper and cleaner. dont have to worry chassis and ram clearance.

just play around with the budget

Pro-A are for budget builds but if you are intending to build a system with i7 best go
for MSI MAG Z590 TOMAHAWK.
Better VRM, features like heatsink etc.
