Anybody encounter this? it happens to my iphone 6 and ipad mini 1 while charging.

is this normal

some people can feel while some cannot. that is not current. its static due to the charging mechanism. aluminium casing MacBooks all have the same issue if u did not use the 3-pin extension plug.

its not harmful anyway.

it doesn't happen on e 3-pin because it is grounded...

Even if u use 3 pin u may encountered also. I am using 3 pin for my MacBook Pro I also can feel the current . Macbookpro got 2 3 pin. Short and long one. If I use the long one then there won't be any current leakage

Open the power adapter. Apple rather stupidly put a plastic protector over the metal stud in the plug adapter. Remove it.

You have to check if the ground is connected from the earth pin to the charger body which is a metallic stud on macbook power adapters. Some three pin plugs are there just for easy plugging and doesn't provide the necessary grounding.

This issue has been there since the iBook era. Hasn't Apple solved it over so many years (decades)?
