My friend is looking for a flat and he found one potential one recently. Everything is good about it except the location. According to him his parents said if the flat main door is facing the road and there is cross road or intersection, that is bad. If insist want to buy the flat must hang dunno what on the door and ask the dunno who to come and perform dunno what ceremony.

I don't know much about feng shui or these traditional ceremonies. Very curious why this is "bad". It is bad luck? It attracts evil spirits? Anyone know why it is "bad"?

Meaning what? Will have bad luck?

His parents are Taoist I think and keep telling him to hang dunno what outside the door but he is free thinker and his view is if you want to hang some religious artefact you must believe in that religion. If not you hang liao where got use?

Its like if you are not a Christian but you hang the crucifix at the door or in side the house. Got use meh?

There are a lot of rules when it comes to fengshui of a house. One of them is what TS mentioned.

There are others like:
Sharp edge directly facing main door
Balcony door facing main door
Windows facing main door
Kitchen door facing main door
Etc

I think your friend should just heed his parents' advice. At least make them feel safe and secure 1st, right?

Wah piang as if buying a flat is not enough headache. If got so many other things to consider, I think no need to buy flat liao. Best is buy a plot of land and build your own terrace house. :s13:

Great success in life, career or business comes from the result of winning many smaller battles. ‘The Art of War’ by Sun Tzu has tremendous influence on the development of the world as we know it. It’s methods and principles are widely responsible for many political landscapes and used in many actual battles throughout the world.

Sun Tzu’s five decision factors in War :

  • Regulation – Organization

In the modern world, ‘The Art of War’ is also widely used to develop management philosophies, political campaigns, marketing strategies, business negotiation and even team sports tactics. In Summary, Sun Tzu’s masterpiece revolves around the principles of:

-Wining at the decision making level – formulating strategies
-Taking calculated actions and risk

Explore The Art of War in a brand new light. Qi Men Sun Tzu combines the wisdom of great Chinese tactician, Sun Tzu with yet another art of war known as Qi Men Dun Jia – a potent and precise technique of forecasting used in ancient China.
