create 2 user accounts login on the PC

alternative is to create 2 iTunes library but i prefer to create seperate user accounts.. works for both Mac and Windows

option1 quite straight forward.. everything into respective account, backing up to a portable hard disk is also quite straight forward

for option2, we open itunes with shift key pressed to select library, but if i want to sync contacts to outlook, can the pc differentiate between both devices data?

pardon me, will the current data from phone be transferred to new pc during the first sync as it seems there's no option to set whether phone or pc has priority during sync

For Option 2, in order for Outlook to distinguish each account, you need to create 2 Mail profiles (see Control Panel -> Mail).

And you need to select which Profile to use before Sync by launching Outlook first. A bit cumbersome.

i normally go file>devices>transfer purchases
that gets all the apps over

then sync contacts on the summary page and choose to merge all contacts

i think selecting Home sharing (or something like that) on the old PC helps too
