I am experiencing issue with my Filco red switch keyboard.

When I press the key ', it doesn't seems to register. When I press it the second time, '' appear at once. This happens to ~ key too.

XS had replaced the 2 affected switches with new ones but it didn't resolve the issue. I have also plugged in to different USB but it didn't helps too.

Warranty has expired since the KB is over 2 years old. Luckily, the rest of the keys seem to be unaffected and I seldom use these 2 keys.

Anyone encounter this same issue?

You mean XS replaced the affected keys and the same issue occured on the spot? So what did they advise then?

XS tested my KB prior to the replacement and told me he detected no problem. However, I decided to go with the replacement since the issue was clearly present when I type on Word before I bought it down.

After the replacement, XS tested the KB with me on the spot with a KB test software. The issue seems to resolved and advise me to switch USB if issue persists.

Thinking back now, I should have requested XS to test with Word.

When I test it back home with Words, the issue remains.

Finally, the mystery is solved.

I did everything I could, from uninstalling the driver to delete the keyboard and re-install, nothing helps.

In the end, I reformat my Windows 10 and during the keyboard setup, there are 2 settings amongst others; US international and US.

I set it to US and it resolved the problem. Then, I set it to US International, the problem re-surfaced.

So, it is the keyboard setting that caused the issue. I played around with setting like UK, the pressed keys turned out to be some other characters on the display.

For those who encounter keyboard issues like my case or pressing @ key turns out to be another character on the display, I suggest to check out the keyboard setting first as part of the troubleshooting process.

Appreciates your advices. Learn something new here and other new stuff like different types of key caps/switches/dye sublime/double shot etc online while google for solutions. The keyboard world is huge out there.
