Files size appear larger on mac

Hi guys, I'm quite a new mac user...

But I've realised that files size seemed larger on Mac, anyone know why?
When it's downloaded on a windows pc, it's 797mb - the actual size
but when downloaded on a mac, it's 835.5mb - bigger

Is there any way i can fix this?

it doesn't appear to be larger.
It's because of how OS X displays the file size.

A few years back, OS X Snow Leopard changed the size of a MB to the standard that mega is 1000000 and not the historical 1048576 — explanation from osx - Why are some (all?) files bigger on Mac OS X? - Super User
