Alright, after getting some feedbacks from my previous post, since its been quite some time alrd, i want to ask if there are any changes needed.

Games that i'll be playing are: Dota 2, PSO2, L4D2, Bioshock series, dead space series, fallout series, prototype, payday2, RE 6 and Revelations. Possibly from medium to high settings. It's possible with these settings right?

CPU:
GPU: Zotac GTX 750TI 2GB DDR5 - $218
PSU: FSP Hexa + 80PLUS 450W - $59
RAM: G.Skill Ripjawsx 1600MHz CL9 (4GB x 2) - $117
HDD: WD Blue 1TB - $67.5
CASE: Sharkoon BD 28 - $73
DVD: Samsung DVD - $22
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit OEM - $120

Total - $676.5

Thanks for the advice!

I am just wondering if you would prefer to have 256GB SSD instead. Eg, Crucial MX100 256GB $169.

High settings are possible with these games.

For now, what psu and case(all i need is good airflow) should i get? The previous psu and case recommended to me was FSP Hexa + 80PLUS 450W and Sharkoon BD 28.

Nothing wrong with these choices, just use them as they are still being sold in these shops.

Is win7 still around $110?

Try $120

FYI, i'm a newbie so should i get all these from tradepac? since i heard tradepac is for those exp ppl.

Up to you. You want good aftersales service, go elsewhere. You think you are good at bargaining, not get swayed by sales tactics, only care about cheap prices, go Tradepac.

I got the Zotac GTX 750 2GB Ti Non-OC Edition and I used the TDP Mod to push powerlevel up to 100% and OC to 1.3GHZ CLK and 6.8GHZ Mem CLK.
BIOS Overclock btw.
Make my money worthwhile :vijayadmin:

Better list down the budget you comfortable with. Don't just go cheap on CPUand mobo combo.

I know I, spyboy and Macaliper have shown what a g3258 can do. And furgermore some of the test results have shown that some games are not being bottleneck by it yet.

There are some games won't launch due to the lack of cores.

Especially thief on mantle, same goes to battlefield 4 on mantle. It is still stressing the 2 cores up and unable to play.

And furthermore in the short coming we still yet to conclude that does newer gen games trying to pick up more cores for gaming.

Only go for i3 and g3258 if you are on a strict budget.

Agreed 2 Cores are not future proofed if you are a gamer.
It is not the clock speed, modern OS can load balance the cores much better.
Value RAM will do put the money into the CPU.
Who the **** use DVD nowadays get a USB portable one to share among devices.
Burn Win7 into flashdrive.
And don't need SSD unless you think the price justify the extra 20 seconds of boot time or you got a lot of huge files to copy around everyday.

I agreed. tomshardware and anandtech did review the G3258 but when you look at the gaming performance, its actually not that great even when its overclocked. A stock i3 4330 has no problem matching an overclocked Pentium in games and even out perform it on numerous occasions.
