Hello techies, I'm intending to build my first PC and I need some advice regarding the parts, overall compatibility and budget.

I'm a medium-core (lol) gamer; I wanna get games like Farcry4, Witcher3, E:D, WoW, etc. I'm fine with playing them at mid quality.

I also do quite some programming and debugging. No intentions of running servers or VMs at the moment though.

Here is a basic breakdown of the PC parts that I intent to get:
CPU: i5-4690
MOBO: Gigabyte 1150 H81M-S2PV
RAM: 2x 4GB RAM 1866Mhz HyperX
GPU: MSI GTX960 2GB
PSU: CM V550 Power Supply
HDD: WD Black 1TB
OS: Wins8/10
Monitor: ? (What is a affordable monitor to game?)
Wireless adapter: ? (Do I need it since it's a desktop? I can just run on wires, no?)
CASE: Cosair 200R (will it be able to fit my parts? I don't know how to tell)

My budget is $1200. I've checked most of the price lists from SLS but this build is at least $1500 assuming I get a $200 LED monitor. According to my needs, am I able over spending on parts which I will not fully utilise? I went to PCpartpicker to check on compatibility but I do not understand whether is it compatible cause it showed some notes at the bottom. Am I able to build this rig under $1200?

Also, do I need to get the wires to do my own wiring or will I get them as I buy the parts? Sorry to sound so confused here because it's my first time and I don't want to overspend for things that I will not use.

There are multiple threads for build that meets your requirement. You should look at those and see the price from there. SIm Lim price may not always be the cheapest.

I could get a palit or zotac 960 instead and get Kingston value ram 8gb instead of the 2x4 hyperx fury. Not sure if u could get it under 1200 but those are definitely ways to save money.

If you are willing to downgrade u could also consider getting an i5 4460 instead and choose a cheap case on lazada might help as well though I am not very sure on how to get those discounts for lazada.
