if go budget, can try this: Bangkok City Inn : Bangkok Thailand. literally minutes walk from pratunam and central world. hotel nothing to shout about but it's cheap and good.

Stayed before grand diamond during my feb trip.
Booked at 56 one night two ppl...
Booked during one day sales by expedia
Some junior suites is around 45m2, some is only like 35m2 ...

Room old, but location is good, 30 seconds walk to platinum mall ...

Bangkok city inn super old ... Think at least 30 years ....
Wont stay there, would book arnoma four stars hotel at 70 one night two ppl.

Their hotel open last year Jun if not wrong.
Some reviews good, some bad.
Think their room size big, premium is 35m2, luxury is 50m2.
Price not bad, around 100 per night ... amari watergate around 100 to 120 per night ...
