First time building a new computer, please comment

Hey this is my first time trying to build my own gaming computer so please comment on the parts chosen as I'm not well verse with IT stuff yet thanks

Budget: $1000-$1200 (closer to $1000 better)
*Prices are all taken from PCT

CPU/Motherboard: i5 4570/Ashrock B85M-Pro4 - $379
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz (4Gb x2) CL9 - $118
GPU: Palit GTX 760 2Gb Js - $379
HDD: Toshiba 1TB - $80
Power Supply: Cosair CX 600W 80+ bronze - $115
Casing: C.M. Haf 912 Combat -$99
Total: $1170

I'm not too sure if this is workable, so please help me out here thanks!

Hi im quite new to building gaming build but i can still give you some of my opinions.
Firstly for mobo, i got a MSI B85-G43 gaming cause i kind of like the audio boost and the cool design of the board (should really go check it out especially if you choose a case that have side window) in addition the ethernet port they use is a better version compared to Asrock mobo ($429 from mynextcom)

GPU: If i were you i would choose r9 270x cause its a much updated version compared to 760 which is an older card (performance wise almost same however R9 270x supports mantle) [get it from my next com] ( $329 mynextcom)
Ram: i got the same ram (buy from servicist for $100)
HDD: no comments ($80)
Power supply: should try out superflower hx 600w for around $109 (Mynextcom) good Psu semi modular good for cable management
Casing: Check out Sharkoon T28 (78)
Total: $1125 ($1140 inclusive of delivery from Servicist)

Adding on to discussion from what the guy before me said,

I am quite new to building my own builds as well, I've only built 2 computers so far physically. However time to time or once per month I would take some time and look at the current benchmarks, prices and models and try to make the best "Bang for your buck" computer within a certain price range out of interest.

GPU
Gtx 760 is a good choice, a good card at a good price.
From HWZ price list, I found some that sells 760 at a cheaper price than $379 and OC and non OC

HDD:
May wish to see the RPM, try and aim for a high RPM HDD, don't wish for any bottlenecks to occur between the HDD and CPU

CPU
Why not consider an AMD chip for lower costs? You'll have to switch to an AMD motherboard though.
I'm looking at the benchmarks now, here are a few processors which are better in performance and probably cheaper or same price ( I have not checked local sg price list, but they are cheaper in us market)
Suggestions for you to look at: AMD FX-8150 Eight-Core ,
AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core ,
AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core & AMD FX-9370 Eight-Core( may be the same or more expensive but much better in performance)
