I need some advice on building a new PC for gaming/watching shows..

Some games that I play are Dota 2, CS: GO, L4D2, BF4, and Sleeping Dogs. I think I will be spending most of my time playing Dota 2.

Here are the parts that I intend to get (Prices are taken from Fuwell's price list):

CPU & MoBo - i4670 Asus Z87-K ($498)
HDD - Seagate 7200rpm (2Yrs) ($78)
SSD - Intel 530 Series 240GB SSD (Owned)
Ram - Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz CL9 ($118)
GPU - Asus GTX760 2GB DC II OC DDR5 ($425)
Case - Cooler Master K281 ATX Casing ($69)
PSU - Corsair VS Series 550W ($75)
CPU Cooler - Should I get one?
Monitor - Asus 24" VS248H LED Monitor ($299)

Build price: $1562

Thank you!

1. Dun get so lousy psu.

2. Drop the asus mobo n gpu. Can consider asrock z87m extreme 4, and zotac 760+SF HX500w combo (if still got).

3. Change your monitor to something else. Like dell u2312hm at $250 and below. 23" and 24" cant see the diff.

4. it would be good to get an AIO cooler if you are gonna OC< but it will burst ur budget.

If I sacrifice OC-ing, can I further drop on the CPU + MoBo, don't get cooler, and keep MSI R9 280X GPU?

Can.. Can drop to B85M-G43 + i5-4570 and the diff is roughly $100 from z87 mobo+cpu combo.
