First time going Taiwan..

Pardon me but is it doable to go fo guang shan from Taipei and back on same day? Is it too rush? I read that fa gu shan is at new Taipei. So means it is doable for morning go and back on the same day? Have to give one day each ?

Where did you hear that it's at New Taipei?
Usually when people discuss fo guang shan, it is about the one at Kaohsiung.
Day trip possible with HSR.

You can do one day trip to Fo guang shan but not recommended as to go fo guang shan from taipei one way will take about 3-5hours including waiting time + $$$ and the last bus depart from fo guang shan to HSR i think around 6pm if you plan to take public transport.

Fa gu shan bus also about the same last bus around 6

Yea, the problem with the word "each"
Btw waste time to go from north to south then back to north again within 1 day. May as well land in KS, fly back in Taipei or the other way round.

New Tai pei I mean fa gu shan is not fo guang shan. I know fonguang shan is at kao shiung

Is actually quite far. Is further than yeliu. Take bus about 2hours+++

Is at the other end of Taiwan, in kaohsiung.

Easier to go to the one in punggol.

Actually if can, why not stay one night in kaohsiung???? Then no need to do day trip and rush back to taipei???

Distance between Taipei and Kaohsiung is 297 kilometers
Distance between Bangkok and Pattaya 150 kilometers
At least Taiwan got HSR, can shorten the time

can do, but will be very tired. still need to take another 1hr or so bus to fo guang shan after reaching kaohsiung. no joy in doing this.
