Thanks to jian19 and royfrosty from pointing about the size of my case choice!
The sharkoon bd28 would probably be my choice as i prefer its aesthetics. However which shop sells it at $77? I dont see it listed on tradepac's pricelist..

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-3350P + ASRock B75M-DGS @ $271
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM DDR3-1600 CL11 8GB @ $92
GPU: PowerColor R9-280X 3GB @ $418
SSD: Crucial M500 240GB @ $155 (Amazon)
HDD: Western Digital Red 3TB @ $168
ODD: Samsung 24X CD/DVD Writer [OEM] @ $21
PSU: FSP Aurum S 500W [80 Plus Gold] @ $89
CASE: Deepcool Tesseract / Sharkoon MA-A1000 @ $59
DSP: Dell S2340L 23" LED [eIPS] @ $219
PHP: Cooler Master Devastator @ $69
WIFI: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth @ $35 (eBay)
ETC: Mini PCI-E to PCI-E Wireless Card w/ 3 Antennas @ $12 (Amazon)

Total: $1608

Buy others from Tradepac, #05-18.

Its interesting you recommend the mini pci-e to pcie wireless card with antennas. does it work on its own? or do you have to get a wifi adapter and attach to it with the antennas helping to get better wifi signals?

And whats the reason for recommending a 3tb harddrive? and i noticed that the wd hdd are color coded. Noticed green, black, red and most frequent blue. Do the colors mean anything? like speed perhaps?

The antennas are for the m pcie wifi card wireless ac 7260 he recommended.
Blue is good enough for most consumers, green for bulk storage(slower than blue), red i think is for NAS and black is for power users (faster than blue but very expensive)

just placed an order for the crucial ssd on amazon for $157. will get the rest of the items probably only when the ssd arrives. excited to get started with this diy project.. already watching diy guides on youtube :s13:

have read online that a single channel ram does not really have much difference from a dual channel ram. how true is this? also i was recommended the crucial 8gb ddr3 ram, any difference with this and partically, the gskill ripsaw 1600mhz 8gb and corsair vengance 1600 8gb ram?
