First timer Gaming PC Rig help

Mainly playing PUBG & FPS. Occasionally MMO games.
Budget $2.5kish including monitor. Keyboard + mouse not needed.

Build:
CPU: i5-8400
MOBO:Gigabyte Z370N WIFI
GPU: Galax GTX 1070 TI EX
RAM: CRUCIAL 2400MHZ ( 8GBx2pcs )
SSD: SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 500GB
PSU: Seasonic M12ii Modular 520w
CPU FAN: Cryorig H7 CPU Cooler

Monitor: Samsung C24FG70FQE

A few questions:

Is Tecware F3 Elite Mirco Case enough to fit my setup? Or do i need a bigger case?

Is 520W enough for this setup? Not planning to OC anything.

The Motherboard is an ITX motherboard, so I suggest you get an ITX case to go small!

For power supply. I would like to suggest Seasonic Focus Plus 550W Gold instead of the M12ii bronze. It is 10 Years warranty, compact and is currently one of the best out there.

Eh, from what I saw M.2 and 2.5" for Samsung the difference is very small (though i must admit i checked User Benchmark).

Evga 1070 from prime now is $634, a 1070ti from SLS is $684, $50 bucks difference for a better GPU, why not? A 1080 on the other hand doesnt fit my current budget

it is very small. windows boot and software opening times are within a second or 2. considering the extra cost, its a luxury item that's not needed

Ah, thats the 960, i was comparing 850's only.. Using one now on my laptop and seems quick enough, dont see the need to spend more. Thanks for the tip anway!

Please dont recommend people the Fractal Design Node 304, it's is rubbish at cooling.
Look at Fractal Design Core 500 instead for much better cooling.

With that budget, dont get the Tecware F3 Elite, it's a cheap case, soft bendy metal, problematic USB ports and power button.

Get something like a Fractal Design Meshify C for better quality.

Hi there,

I'd suggest you getting a mid-tower as opposed to an ITX case, particularly because this is your first rig you're building. Mid-towers are generally more spacious, giving first-time builders more room for cable management and the like. Some ATX cases that are easy on first time builders includes Corsair 270R and Phanteks P400S Tempered Glass (credits: HardwareCanucks).

Regarding the choice of monitor, it's by no means a bad monitor. However, I think it is a rather expensive choice because it's a curved 1080p monitor. I'd like to think that one gets more off a 1440p curved monitor than a 1080p curved monitor.
Anyway, I'd suggest considering something less costly to make the 1080 card obtainable. That way, you have the resources needed to drive, say a 1440p 240hz curved monitor, that you might get in the future.

Agree, TS may consider using STOCK CPU COOLER first and then see if you need a strong cooler than the original, rather than buying it immediately while building it.

Also, F3 Elite comes with 2 case fan already and the air flow is okay so I don't really see a need of you spending money getting another CPU Cooler if you don't plan to O/C.

If TS really considering to go for 1080, consider getting 1 stick of 8GB Ram instead of 2x8GB, you can always add another stick in subsequently.

P/S - I think with the bits of removing certain part for saving/future upgrade now to exchange the 1080 is actually rather good.
The 1080 may last you longer compared to 1070 when the cars are flying and the graphics is ..
Rather than getting 1070 then resale it for GPU upgrade years down the road. Get the better one and keep those able-to-wait for later as upgrade. You can clean your rig when you upgrade it as well, why not ?

Sorry for the very late reply, been busy. I do agree. A Gtx1080 is worth the investment. Will do some adjustments to see what i can do.. For SSD wise i'm so used to it on my laptop already, afraid it might change once i switch back to HDD. Will give it a thought though!

Well dun get usb wifi , a wifi PCIe card seems to give better performance .
I dunno about integrated wifi but confirm can't be better than wifi card.

I heard Gtx1080 ti only ard 800++sgd? with 2.5k budget its feasible.

Ah.. the choice for the monitor is mainly because of its VA panel. I watch alot of movies as well, and am a sucker for contrast when watching shows. VA & 144mhz, can't find a better monitor than this to suit my needs! But yeah, alot of recommendations for me to get the 1080. I will relook my build again then hahaha

I disagree . SSD is pretty much a must for OS boot up . Plus a ssd is dirt cheap nowdays.

Once you use ssd for OS you will never think of going back to using hdd liao .

The difference is like heaven and earth .
