Hi, first timer here and I am in a dilemma, hope someone can provide advice.

My first choice of flat is a BTO in May 13 while my second choice is the current skypeak at Bukit Batok.

I don't know whether I should apply for skypeak first or wait for May BTO. My main concern is if I wait and apply in May and don't get selected then I end up with nothing. The May BTO for my choice only got 470 units with 2-4rms

Has anyone faced a similar situation before?

Apply for skypeak first. See whats ur queue number then make ur decision. Now too early to decide cos u hv nt even get a queue number. If u dun like the queue, u can give up.

If the current queue is bad, no penalty, but if the next bto also get bad queue, will get penalty or not?

As long as u have a queue number and u didn't turn up for the flat booking, it consider as 1 reject.

First timer have 2 chances of reject before u are downgrade to 2nd timer status for 1 year.

Disadvantage of 2nd timer is the % of all allocated units are 5% in mature estates and 15% for non-mature estates.

Let's say the number of flats are 200 units, i'm given with 450 on ballot and I'm not able to select a unit. Its considered as 1 reject chance?

Er, nothing to do with queue - it's when you got appt for selection and you don't turn up, then it will be considered as reject.

Nope, if you didn't even get a chance to get a appt date to go down and select - it's not considered as a rejection.

Thanks for the information. Meaning if there are still available 4 room units left, be it low or high level, we will be called for the appointment based on the ballot queue.
