Hi all,

Yeah, it's my first trip to Bangkok.
Looking for help to recommend me a good hotel which is convenient.

I had googled for some hotels, all looked the same to me.
Any good places to recommend for visitation since it's my first time there?

Thanks alot to all.

I think it's best to understand where you want to stay first, before looking for a hotel.
1) Famous Singaporean area is Siam and Pratunam but these area always have heavy traffic.
2) Sukhumvit
3) Thonglor - mostly regular to BKK
I been to BKK many times, I will switch area to stay and explore. My favourite still Siam and Pratunam

I think is more of what you plan to do before deciding where to stay.

Got grab/ taxi/ tutu, grab or bolt is easier as don't need to hear cut throat price from taxi and tutu driver.
Bolt is cheapest but lesser car, so try first if busy then get grab.

First time must go Floating Market lah ... then take the tourist river ride 100 baht to visit temple and take some photos. Market stalls go eat some local thais food and dabao back to room to enjoy.

First time also must go Gogo bar. Just experience it :ROFLMAO:

Wife and I stayed at Galleria 12. Have tuk-tuk pick-up fr main road. Actually a short walk and safe at night. Can walk to Asoke Station, which is connected to Terminal 21 mall

I have used Bolt a few times near Nana area. Alway yellow taxi come instead of private car. Taxi driver alway want to use highway so in the end have to pay tolls. :(

Because of paying tolls, I think it is more expensive. No way of telling what car you booked in Bolt until it has arrived. As for Grab, confirmed it is 100-200 bahts more expensive than Bolt.
I think because of the sukhumvit area, very difficult to get private car. Most taxi will lurk around that area.

they propose going on tollway to reduce traveling time and also they won't earn anything from paying toll, aside from the reduced time and petrol spent, since it is paid to the authority so usually i will tell the driver to go on toll unless it is non-peak hours. we go there to enjoy ourselves so don't let a few dollars upset your travel.
