i used the nike+ running app on my android phone to track my runs primarily so i will prefer to use fuelband so it can add on to my running records (add me as friend if interested: http://nikeplus.nike.com/plus/profile/lordladthe fuelband does come with a altimeter, so it can't detect if you are walking up steps. i'm not sure about the other features, maybe battery life? hmmm the design of the fuel band didnt change much. i was hoping for a heart rate monitor on these devices, it'll be really cool when training.
the last time i used the nike+ running sportband, it had a horrible web based interface. haven't gone back since. perhaps the fuelband one will be better. in any case i am more set on the fitbit force now.
That's why i'm disappointed the 'new' Nike Fuelband SE doesn't support Android and barely and new features...
The Fitbit Force seems more platform agnostic (not tied to just IOS) and also have some smartwatch features (SMS Notification, vibration)
