Fitting 165mm PSU into Phanteks P300

I have a Superflower Leadex Silver 550W which is about 165mm in length. Currently looking to get a Phanteks P300 which can fit 160mm PSU.

Wanted to know if anyone has managed to fit in a 165mm PSU to the case without permanently removing the HDD cage? Thanks!
