Plan to book ANA from SG to Sapporo for sept trip.
Arriving at Narita at 845am from SG, the connecting flight from Narita to Sapporo is at 10am.
1hrs 15mins enough time to catch the connecting flight?

It is doable.
But need to ensure that toilet breaks are done in the plane before it touch down. So once u touch down immediately go clear customs and take luggage

I just came back from my hokkaido trip. Also transit in haneda, then go to Sapporo. Took JAL.
Also around 1 hour in between only. Was rushing man. Please take note especially if going with kids, women...if they first time....tend to play buttons in toilet and delay time.
Not sure why from international to domestic in Japan need to ownself take luggage.

When return from Japan to Singapore, transfer from domestic to international no need take luggage to transfer. Jitao collect luggage at she airport liao

Airport shuttle bus from international to domestic, domestic terminal 1 is for ANA. Terminal 2 is for JAL.

Hi,

I am taking ANA to Hokkaido and transit at Hanade Airport in mid dec. I will like to check if there is a need to take our luggage and re-check in the domestic terminal? We need to take shuttle bus from international terminal to domestic terminal? is 2 hours sufficient with travelling with 9 pax. 3 children, 2 elderly and 4 adults? Thanks in advance.

Yes you need to retrieve your luggage after your clear immigration and then take shuttle bus to check in at domestic side. 2 hrs should be good enough. shuttle buses wait/stop at level 1, outside the entrance.

Yes you need to collect the luggage for all and re-check in at domestic flight terminal.

2 hours should be more than sufficient as usually it takes under an hour still have some time to shop around provided it is the same airline.

If it is the same airline, you can let the crew know beforehand... if they thing time is short, they will arrange for you and your family to alight the plane first. There will be signs just outside directing you to domestic as well as some staffs there to help if lost.

Coming back it's OK as they will do the luggage transfer directly....

I had similar experience a few years back. But I was with a tour group that time. The tour guide actually advise the group to try to get down the aircraft asap once aircraft touch down and skip toilet break so that we can get to the front of the custom queue. It can be done but it is a bit rush.

If you plan the trip on your own, why not consider a flight time that has a bigger connecting time. Your family can take a short break in the airport also. If not the elders and kids will need to walk fast to catch the next flight. Any 10-15 min delay you will start to panic already.

When i go to Hokkaido, I don't go there immediately after landing at Tokyo.

Rather i will often stay few days in Tokyo first then Domestic Haneda to go to Sapporo. Many flight selection per day from Haneda even super early flight they also have.

There is no hurry since Tokyo itself is also very attractive place to go

For my recent trip (transit in HND), My transit time was 1.5hrs on paper. In the end, the flight reached ahead of schedule and I have 2 hrs to transit.

I Managed to reach the domestic gate within 1.5hrs anyway. There was no queue at the customs gate. Of course, if the flight was somehow delayed or take longer than expected to touchdown then u are left with even less time to transit.

No issue if booked in the same ticket. Have done 1 hr transits even on budget. Depending on the transit airport you might need to walk a lot...
There'll only be an issue if you booked the 2 legs separately or from those 3rd party website with such a short time. In those cases you'll need to exit, collect the boarding pass and re-enter. For your case you'll be on the airside all the time with ushers guiding you. You'll need to go through another security scan but its very fast
