I m new, thinking of getting into flight sim. Currently have an oculus rift & logitech extreme pro.

but tried a while, not easy. The learning curve is steep.

I play many games. Now usually play those that need little learning curve cos too busy. Will try to pickup DCS

Bro yes, indeed I'm active almost everyday for at least 5 hours each day. Mostly to try out all planes during free trials, and narrow down those that I would like to buy.

Thus far I've bought a few modules (F/A-18C, F-16C, F-5E, AV-8B, UH-1H, A-10C, FC3, Nevada & Gulf maps)

wtf that's a lot of planes. im focusing on f18 only. i have vr but not using them because of the setup time n i can't read the panels while using it. also the motion sickness. im on a 1060 6gb. sub 30 fps.

u join the discord? im there as misakamikoto. i can play during week ends and outside office hours.

LOL can't give the good discount a miss, so better get now for those that I really like. Likely to get Christan Eagle, KA-50 & Mi-8 before the offer close.

I'm a DCS newbie as just restarted DCS last month (previously played LOMAC which was 8 years ago).

Currently not using HOTAS as I'm left handed, so got to use left handed joystick (T16000M).

Considering getting into VR but need to buy new PC and maybe HP Reverb or better VR headset. Currently playing with my Dell G7 with RTX2060, frame rate with high setting is between 45FPS to 60FPS, very much playable at this moment.

yea fps on X060 is ok when not using vr lol

nah the discord is only for chatting with singaporean gamers or finding buddy buddy but apparently i'm the only one playing atm... i'm normally on hoggit discord for dcs info

struggling with carrier landing on the hornet atm -_- that final break is a pain

i'm using virpils.

actually i'm left handed too .. but it's way easier to use the throttle with the left hand because the tdc is there... better coordination. is your right hand more active?

Oh another lefties haha. Actually just 3 days ago I tried flying and landing an aircraft (C-101) with my right hand for the first time, the result surprised me, I could fly and land no problem. I thought I would crash and burn but no. Think I can get use to it and increase the response time of my right hand.

Wow Virpils looks very atas, must be very expensive! Am thinking to get warthog once my right hand is trained.
