I understand that Scoot is the only carrier that offers direct flights to Sapporo to date.
There's SQ, ANA and JAL that flies to Tokyo with a transit to Hokkaido.
Which airline do you guys prefer?
SQ reinstated their seasonal nonstop in December and January. Expensive though.I understand that Scoot is the only carrier that offers direct flights to Sapporo to date.

Im taking Korean Air in late May. 1.5hr transit in Seoul, hopefully it is enough time for the transit. Anyone has any experience with Korean Air to Hokkaido?
Booked with Korean Air because they are priced competitive compared to the other airlines and flight timing suit us.
Transit with KE is very easy
Go through the transfer/transit security, go up the escalator and that's it.
It is very fast.
At ICN airport, there is also a cultural center that tourists can use to make free Korean cultural items.
Need at least 45min(?) before flight dep to make the item.
Items vary such as fans/boxes/paintings etc
There are duty free shopping as well.
I took koreanair from SG to Sapporo last year, only took me 15 mins to clear customs and about 15-20 mins of walking to flight gate for Sapporo (we were assigned the furthest gate). Had 1 hr or so to roam around, and they started calling ppl to Q up for entry around 20 mins before flight.Im taking Korean Air in late May. 1.5hr transit in Seoul, hopefully it is enough time for the transit. Thanks! Looks like i don't have to worry much about the short transit.I took koreanair from SG to Sapporo last year, only took me 15 mins to clear customs and about 15-20 mins of walking to flight gate for Sapporo (we were assigned the furthest gate). Asiana has a 10% off for 1st time users that create account with them. Good if you get business class with them.
The only thing u need to worry is if u spend too much time at the DFS. 1.5 hrs transit is a luxury but not enough for lounge and for extended DFS shopping. LolThanks! Looks like i don't have to worry much about the short transit.
