Flu epidemic in Japan

Just saw recent news reports that there is a flu epidemic in Japan right now and its getting more serious.

Is it a big concern for us tourist who are travelling to Japan soon? Do you think we should take a flu vaccination before travelling to Japan?

when is your trip? coz it takes about 2 weeks for the vaccine to kick in. I take flu jab every year regardless. Bring face masks and hand sanitiser, some of the public toilets don't have soap.

It is spring pollen allergy for them .
We have allergic rhinitis due to mostly dust mite dropping etc .

Flu also spreads in winters more easily because many stay indoors & in closed environment.

Flu carries a low mortality rate.

Just get the flu jab (which may or may not help but as it may not be the same strain, but it may help you to build some immunity to make the symptoms lighter) if you are afraid.

Wear a mask if you are really worried or had previously suffering severe symptoms of flu before.......

Buy travel insurance that covers medical expenses as if you visit clinics there, it will cost a bomb....

You should be alright.....
