Planning a trip that will cover Nagoya, Osaka, Kyoto & Nara. What are the flight options? I know SQ flies to both Nagoya and Osaka, and Scoot to Osaka. Maybe Jetstar Asia too? I think there must be many airlines serving these places. Just like to hear anyone's advice and experiences on best (cheapest) airfare to these places. Thanks.

Nagoya will sticks out like a sore thumb if you are just going to visit the city in my opinion as the rest of the places you mention are all in Kansai.....and Nagoya is not exactly known as a first rate tourist city like Osaka, Nara or Kyoto

Yeah. Nagoya is okay but not as fun compared to Osaka/Kyoto/Tokyo

In Nagoya
- Nagoya Castle (Quite famous)
- Tokugawa Art Museum (Tokugawa Shogunate ruled Japan for long period)
- Atsuta Shrine (One of important shrine in Japan)

But Nagoya is a good base to go other place like
- Takayama
- Matsumoto
- Ise

Thanks, guys. Ya, maybe can consider flying into nagoya, then exit from osaka or vice versa although i usually prefer to stick with one hotel throughout and not like lugging things around.

You can consider fly in Osaka Kansai Airport, then fly out Nagoya airport.

But if not, you can fly in/fly out Osaka Kansai Airport.

Between Osaka and Nagoya, you can get the Kintetsu railpass and use it for Ltd Exp Kintetsu train from Osaka-Namba station at Osaka to KintetsuNagoya station at Nagoya. It is a direct train, takes about 2hrs journey.

A 1 way fare from Osaka-Namba station to KintetsuNagoya station costs 4260yen. So if you get the Kintetsu Rail Pass for 3800yen (not sure if they increased this price since Japan recently increased their GST), the railpass would already pay off. But bear in mind, you can only take Ltd Exp trains up to 3 times for free during the 5 days period, so plan your train journey properly so as to have as much cost savings as possible.

More info on Kintetsu Rail pass:
Kintetsu Rail Pass

Also consider getting the Haruka + ICOCA package if you are planning to use Haruka Express train to/from Kansai Airport.
