How's scoot plus? Good?

nothing special .. we paid about $600 for Plus while Econ would have been $400+ with add-ons

.. it used to cost $700, then dropped, so thought it was worth it as our return baggage needed more

CONS
the food was awful, we had the beef goulash n yam rice (guess same food as Econ)
no entertainment
the free 20MB wifi not working
plane was rather old (think newer planes are used on the Osaka route)

PROS
free drink includes alcohol too
stewardess did not stop us from eating own food
very generous hand carry limit of 15kg + check in 30kg
spacious cabin (but Econ on our flight was quite empty too)

now scoot don't offer transit via Taipei anymore? I took that the last time I went Sapporo. The transit time is short like 1 hour at Taipei airport, just walk from one gate to another at the same terminal, can stretch leg and go toilet and walk walk a bit. Very cheap and good will do it again if I go Sapporo.

up until Oct 22, the flight has Taipei stop over

from Nov, Scoot offers direct flight from Sapporo to SG

no sure if it will revert

Tip: if buying Scoot, Sapporo to SG (1 way), consider paying in JPY (instead of SGD) using YT or Revolut or other CC that offer foreign tranction rebates (eg FRANK)

... for such 1 way from Sapporo, the original fare currency is in JPY, and then converted to SGD at a very lousy rate

I thought you can choose ur food when you book ticket online? Is just that it's priced in for scoot plus, not additional

For wifi is 30mb. But also not enough one lah

For entertainment , just download Netflix/mewatch b4 boarding to ur phone/tablet? Scoot plus seat got charger isn't it? So no worry if run out of batt

I prefer full service flights for such long distances cos anytime can ask for drinks or snacks to kill time. Haha.

wah I went check back my records I only paid $283 for one-way Sg to Sapporo via Taipei on Scoot with 20kg check-in luggage a few years back. Don't think can see this kind of pricing anymore

2017, flew Thai Airways to Sapporo ... $375.30, return, 30kg :ROFLMAO:

For scoot flight to Sapporo, let say I buy 20kg luggage check in, must the 20kg be from just one luggage or I can check in 2 as long as I don’t exceed 20kg?

Anyone took the scoot direct flight to Sapporo recently? How’s the flight?

Wanting to go in feb22
Scoot direct including baggage, food and seat selection is $950
All others above 1.3k and have to transit Tokyo

Am wondering to save the hassle is it worth it to just scoot direct. (worried transfer in Tokyo 2-3hrs insufficient to clear customs at the international terminal then make way to domestic airport as traveling with parents)
Enough time to take the bus to domestic terminal.

If plane slightly delayed, they even got someone assigned at the luggage belt to set aside the luggage and hand domestic passengers train tickets to take the monorail instead. That happened one time when I took JAL. Thought the service not bad.

SQ do not fly this route.
Scoot fly special route on during winter.
Can try Thai airways. But you can’t get $600 for return tix. If you are talking about 1 way it’s definitely possible

Thank you all for your comments. End up my parents prefer scoot. Cos they say go up plane is sleep only. So they did not want to transit. Will pack Breadtalk up just in case. Though I bought the flight meals. Total cost ard $850 per pax. My bro went to scootplus himself cos he wanted the bigger seat. Can’t wait to go otaru to see the canal lights.

can I ask what time does the souvenir shops open at the airport?
thank you

Pre-covid sq used to do for Dec and Jan. Not sure if Dec 2023 and Jan 2024 will have.

pre-covid sq does fly this route together with scoot.

Did a dummy search via scoot for oct next year and after adding all the baggage and meals it cost $800+...

Guess I will use google flights to monitor the fare since the trip is still 1 year away.. if scoot direct flight price is too expensive then will prefer full service if difference is not too much.
