I personally found bitlocker (hardware based encryption) on Samsung SSDs to be very wonky. Once you overprovision or change something via Samsung magician it breaks bitlocker hardware FDE. I tried 3 times and gave up totally.
Before you turn on/off Rapid mode, need to suspend bitlocker first. Else a trip to your company IT dept is a must for the bitlocker key.
