Just like to get give attention.
For those who purchase 2nd hand ip5s, try to get the receipts and if possible, the contact of the reseller.

My friend got it from fareast wanted to exchange with m1. When reached, they were told this is a contract set and therefore need to have the original purchases IC. Went back to fareast, told by the guy that his warranty is by dealer, meaning that he have to go back to fasteast shop to exchange only. And it will be their mercy if they have the good condition set.

Before leaving the m1 shop, I ask them about the strict rules. They claim this is to protect the lost iphone and the reseller. Producing the IC to verify is a must. But they losen those rules about exchange iphone if they "claim have problem".

Therefore like to warn those getting ip5s, ask your reseller to at least be contactable within warrenty time.

Yes. I changed iph5 twice with m1, need IC also. So if you buy from anyone who sign contract, it is as good as no warranty. Unless the person kind enuf to standby 1 year and willing to go M1 313 with his IC with u.

So buy apple store sets is the best.

If you read carefully, it mean warrenty from dealer..... Which mean the shop you buy from.

Warranty with dealer ? Not apple ?

Come to think of it ... this is good news for App Store flippers.

If you believe the information shown for your product is incorrect, you can submit your proof of purchase online or by fax. Your sales receipt is needed for Apple's 1-year limited warranty and AppleCare Protection Plan validation, so be sure to keep it in a safe place.

-Apple

Only App Store sets are "verified" sets, since its direct from Apple.

So if the person who sign contract leaving overseas. Means the set as good as no warranty ? Impossible to ask the person come back just for warranty claim right ? Warranty is for their phone for a year. Not for just one owner.

just call Apple, hopefully Apple will give them some lesson. As long that product is under Apple warranty, they should repair/replace it. They put shame to Apple brand

if telco gives u stupid reason to deny your exchange, give apple a call to report on it. they will send a note to the telco and u can just tell the telco the reference that apple gave u. no need to talk so much with them. done that twice to pwn them. hahah....

all need ics is nonsense lah
these telcos don't want to make them change sets so easily
so they discourage them haha
as long as your iphone is not faked you don't have to worry
the warranty is always be there
only thing is those telcos lazy to do the job for you :s13:
because telcos don't earn selling handphones
they only earn your subscription fees

The guy at the fareast told me all Teleco will require IC. If m1 is practicing verify IC, I don't see why the rest of the Teleco is not.

I think u don get me. I means the guy sign contract with m1. And sell out the phone to second owner and fly to overseas. When the second owner iPhone got defect. Impossible to expect the first owner fly back to claim warranty right? Since m1 need the person who signed contract ic...
