I find this feature on phone is a pretty under utilised option, esp for my case.
its more like a shortcut method to some common use option within an app.

preview messages, maybe a little more useful.. otherwise... or maybe i'm not using it as aggressive as i shld?:)

I use it more for the scrollpad. The multitasking with forcetouch is not easy to get it to work all the time.

The multitasking w 3D touch works for me all the time! There's kinda a technique I learnt from online forums: Apply pressure at the left edge of screen and once you see the multiple app windows peek out, apply more pressure to get it to open up fully. It's like a two-step operation.
Hope that works for you!

Thanks! This tip definitely helped a lot. I had a lot of problems with Safari as it always went back to the previous page.

You're welcome! I used to encounter that with Safari too because I thought I had to apply pressure and swipe to the right at the same time, which really made it challenging. Glad it worked out for you :)

If you don't wish to use so much force, you can apply a little pressure for the apps to peek. Thereafter just slide a bit to the right and let go. Same but use less strength.

If you just wanna change to previous app, just slide all the way to the right instead of letting go

Not quite there yet. The method I learnt is that multiple app windows = slight activation only. You need to apply abit more pressure to open multitasking fully. If you remove your finger, it just returns to the app you are currently on.

Alternatively you can use icyflame's method. I use my 6s plus on my right hand so I find it more convenient to use 3D Touch than swipe. :)
