I was there yesterday during balloting.

The developers refused to release a unit which I intended to purchase.

They are testing the market by releasing a few stacks and will raise prices gradually if the response turns out to be good.

Please be careful my fellow Singaporeans.

Do not let these cunning developers take away your hard earned money.

It may be a blessing in disguise u didn’t manage to get it. :D
Trust me, look elsewhere.

I wanted to buy it because it’s the nearest freehold development near my parents place. The entire launch was filled with so much gimmicks such as Feng Shui webinars and local celebrity “Irene” conducting a short lucky draw.

No one can ever predict accurately where prices will go. I’d rather miss a possible capital gain and not be a laboratory testing subject for these cunning developers.

No one can ever predict accurately where prices will go. I’d rather miss a possible capital gain and not be a laboratory testing subject for these cunning developers.

Plenty of FH condos there, spoilt with choices. The creek is just a stone thrown next to it.

to be fair, not releasing all stacks is quite a common move by developers. this allows for them to gauge the market demand and then stage Up the prices in phases accordingly. this also benefits the early buyers who then stand to gain a paper profit.

as much as there are a lack of fans for this development here on hwz (me included :D ) , i believe without covid, the upper band of the day 1 prices should have well gone over 20xx to 21xx

they actually did release one stack out eventually which was unreleased initially. (update: stack 13)

but as they've said -

better one good opportunity missed, than to be stuck with a bad one for a long time

i do think its a blessing in disguise too that you didnt get a unit. cheers

In converse, covid-19 may have actually helped the sales. Sinkies see prices currently not dropping even in such a tough climate and so all chiong in for FEAR of prices doubling by 2030.

I still think it is always the enbloc millionaires with emotional attachment to the site are the initial buyers who set a "new normal" in prices. The rest "no choice" but to follow.

Enbloc is actually an effective way to create new highs in the markets and yet have buyers who will buy in.

Maybe can consider Daintree Residences if u really like that locale, else if looking for value buy then wait for Penrose or Clavon already.

I noticed daintree and jadescape are priced rather close.
Would Rather buy jadescape than daintree if the intent is not to stay near parent.

forett site plan screams crammmmmmmmed

i dont like lookin into neighbours' houses and vice versa. 20m apart is nothing at all..its literally u throw tennis ball and can still reach opp.

More than 180 units sold. Today and tomorrow will likely add another 20+ units.

Bro different ppl have different taste bah, some are just bought into the Bukit Timah story, and I had this debate w non property friends they really think that Beauty World is consider Bukit timah cos Bukit Timah food centre, shopping centre and CC are nearby. And typically Bukit Timah is considered an attas enclave, so perhaps this explains. Let’s jus be happy for them. Cos this also goes to show the resilience in our property market, and more cheers for those vested.

Trust me, this forett project not worth buying. Site plan looks damn cramp, unit so close to each other. Don’t foresee any future profit gain.

With the ~200 units likely to be sold on launch wkn, looks like no one cares about what this anti-upper Bukit timah warrior is saying lol. Maybe he had some unhappy memories in D21 haha :)

Sidetrack, but Beauty World to me ain’t really Bukit Timah though. Bukit Timah is like sixth avenue side onwards to city, where all the elite schools are, even King Albert Park hardly makes Bukit Timah enclave.
