this is retail volume? on which broker platform?

looks like the big boys will short and aim to eat the Longs since the total Long volume is juicy :s13:

my bias is that it will go up for xxx/jpy tonight but not sure how much, also depends on whats the pattern of the candles and structure like nearer to end london and pre-NY

Sorry, did'nt see that question -

GBPJPY might reverse after touching week low.
Same price action M1, M5, M15 extreme bear candle before heading up

But remember Breexit cum Trade war if you can stomach it, :s22:

might have some good pips for this leg up

best look at the chart and observe

Set buy limit and tight stop loss.

This is an area where smart money might not want you to follow up, hence prepare for whipsaw action to take buyer positions.

If 3 attempt of buy limit are taken out, call it a day.
Or wait for price to break up of London Open H1 candle then buy from there.

Buy limit not triggered. Look like 135.781 is an attainable target to fill the gap of 16 April 2017 Weekly Candle.

All indicators are lagging.
Don't just put 2 MA and buy when cross up sell when cross down. BUT many traders promote them. Remember 90% of traders lost.

MA is good for indicating momentum. I don't have formal education, get kick out of school. But I do know that measuring momentum of strength is from the smallest to the bigger number vi-versa. I also know that collectively it gives a better edge than just put 1 on one pair.

Those white lines (these I just put for example) are put in this fashion to alert me of extreme candle movement. If I hear machine gun "ding, ding, ding" I know some extreme movement has taken place.

So use indicators creatively to your advantage.

Setting PO (buy limit. sell limit) is a good practice. STOP LOSS is to some useless BUT I found it to be life saver. I'm proud to tell people that I get stop out BUT some are proud to tell others that they are sitting in sh'''t load of unrealized lost. I respect their decision they are fellow traders which I respect.

Now move my stop lost to BE.

LOL, in less than 10 miniutes stop out at BE.

2nd attempt buy limit

btw many traders will close their positions around 11pm - end of month, end of week

No whipsaw thus far, some psychology at play -

1. Time - end of month end of week - less trader get in to long.

2. There is a target 85 - 90 pips down - the weekly candle April 2017 - Traders are hesitate to long.

Hence, I think it might be a right time to sneak in for a long trip up.
The slow grinding up move is good indication that the smart money are trying to build a resistance area for more sellers to join the party. Hence no sudden spike up to take up seller stop loss at 137.5xx and 138.xxx

I could be dead wrong with my assumption but stop loss in my friend. Learn how to use stop loss to your advantage - trail your stop at appropriate time.

Now stop loss move to +5 pips.

2nd attempt out with 5 pips

let price go lower for 3rd attempt

i generally use MA for estimating where market makers will bring price to and trap traders in the wrong direction...usually quite observable at reversal zones...push price above the whatever MAs then everyone think its breakout then hop on then get killed :s13:

Indicators are lagging but do not be afraid to set ridiculous unconventional settings to gain an edge.

It has being a long time since I scalp hence testing some ridiculous settings to the indicators. Look promising so far. Weekend about 20 demo account running strategy with various settings that is how stubborn I am to gain the edge.

Anyway today is quite epic. The market manipulation has unwinded. In 24 hours my unrealised loss was reduced by US$12,000. The acceleration was very obvious after lunch during US session. :vijayadmin:

If you are serious read these 2 links -

james16 Chart Thread

Technical Analysis Fallacy (Read the first 200 pages)

It is daunting task, not easy to grasp the concept initially BUT if you persevere you will see the light.

You can actually click on the paper clip icon on the top right corner of these 2 threads, you can find the pdf file which were compiled by those that follow the threads.

Study all the charts diligently, no short cut, not for lazy gamblers who want to get easy money out of forex.

It took me about 2 years and more reading to become consistent.

Trading forex sucessfully is a process.
