It all depends on your lot size and take profit target to achieve a higher quantum profit.

Bigger lot means higher risk and margin required. My SOP is 1 Lot (1.0) per currency pair. NO STOP LOSS.

If luck and market conditions are good you can just keep scalping multiple times with 5-10 pips profit per trade. Daily takings can easily be in the 3 figures range. The bigger the lot the faster you get out of a trade is advisable.

In each trading day usually most major pairs will have some retracement. It can happen during Asia, Europe or New York session. Nothing moves in a straight line. It takes experience on how to catch the high and low tide.

But if you have ECN terminals that big boys have then it is a no brainer because you can see all the stops being placed at what price level. Then they will try to take out all the stops that are highly congested at a certain price level to unlock liquidity. If you do not have a stop the big boys cannot take you out!

Fed Funds Rate

In case people forget the current Fed funds rate is 2.25%. It will be 2.5% in upcoming Dec 2018 rate hike.

4 rate hikes are expected in 2019 which brings it to 3.5% if Fed follows through.

Also combined with the ongoing Fed balance sheet reduction in stealth mode. This is often overlooked but has killer impact.

I believe the market is more or less priced in till the end of 2018. It is 2019 that we must watch out for now.

I hope to see more cracks and volatility in the market.

Already told you guys to read up my past postings. No such thing as sure win unless you are GOD OF WALL STREET 股神. Lost about US$10,000 in the EM currencies rout during August 2018. Trading account no. 1 took a hit and trading account no. 2 exploded!

Usually every month will have profit because NO STOP LOSS = NO LOSS. However during black swan events I have to cut positions as margin under stress and capital injection is not an option.

These 2 months I have been licking my wounds and trading cautiously to recover my losses haha.

Lately I think many punters have exploded their accounts or lost money judging from reduced participation of this thread. Truly very hard to trade since Q3 2018. Just last week the US stock markets have a correction and affected global markets too. I believe some folks got hit hard.

KNN seems like every month each asset class will take turns to get hammered!
