I think UJ cannot last :s13:, scalping short EU now with care

Let us pray Abe's enemies one by one come out and expose him. :s13:

Hope the few hundred protestors become few hundred thousands. LOL!

Shorting EUR/USD at this level now is dangerous. Downside already maxed out before New York opening. If prata after New York opening you will get stucked.

USD/SGD Outlook

According to my lousy TA and research I believe SGD is on a appreciation trajectory right up to GE around 2019/2020. The feel good factor is a recipe for success for MIW.

USD/SGD near term support level 1.30.

USD will continue to be toilet paper in near term. However my bullish call in mid term is unchanged. USD portion in my currency basket will be primarily utilise for Forex trading.

The time is right to liquidate a portion of my CNY in batches to SGD before Yusof Ishak paper gets too strong or PBOC drops bomb and devalue CNY. :s13:

For those holding excess CNY holdings for business can consider hedging now by holding SGD. The days of 1:5 may come again. Currently is 4.81X.

A lot of confusion and volatility out there.

I think as long as your open position is between current price and 200EMA, you should be safe.

0438 GMT - The type of investors buying newly issued offshore Chinese debt is sending a worrying signal. For Shougang's $500 million of notes that mature in less than a year, 63% went to private banks and 17% to fund managers, says Owen Gallimore at ANZ. When the company sold 5-year dollar debt in September, fund managers grabbed 57% versus 10% by private banks. "Now they're having to go to private banks in Singapore just get the deals done." That's a problem, says Gallimore, since the growth of China's dollar-bond market means it can no longer be supported by private banks on their own. (saumya.vaishampayan@wsj.com; @saumvaish)

Good article. USD and SGD has low borrowing costs.

If you are a big company with good credibility banks will be very supportive to lend. Just like how our ROI is so much better than passive stock investors because our Forex contracts are levered up. No doubt we take higher risks too. 1:33 or 1:500. Take your pick. :s13:

In business and investment it is all about leveraging.

Most Singaporeans are leveraging too in the form of CPF or bank loan for property. The difference is we can control the quantum and increase/decrease exposure at our discretion and very liquid.
