Capital of $1000, let's see how well I can trade with this account...
Past few days of trading not so bad with a profit of $100...
Maybe is just luck, let's see how it goes and see if I'll burn out my capital of $1000

Forex Trading

Be careful not to blow up the acct...trade on higher timeframes and with some tested method beforehand.

All my 7 currency pairs are in the red. Total contract size is US$80,000. A total of unrealized loss of -900 pips at the moment. Song boh? :D

Last night my used margin left 12% hahaha. Palms sweating. Immediately top up and currently at 50% level to prepare for big show down 22/09/16 2am SGT. :s13:

Those accounts with insufficient margin balance better go and top up especially for GBP and JPY pairs. Super volatile if you are unable to ride up and down the 100-200 pips movement.

Remember that there are many strategies in Forex trading. Some play the hit and run strategy with profit/loss stops trade of 5 to 10 pips. Some like me play the carry trade strategy. Let it run for days and weeks. :D

During news, the price can jump up and down and blow a lot of stops in both directions :s22:

Precisely those who place stops sometimes sibei bang balls because within seconds/minutes the price move the other way again.

End of the day just BUY/SELL at your own target price which you are comfortable with.

A lot of people do not know this but instituitions like hedge funds have trading platforms that are able to see the no. of orders of buyers/sellers and at which price. We use ikan bilis trading software cannot see wan. They can calculate the costs involved and push up/down the price by buying/selling to hit the stops in favour of of their Long/Short positions.

"see the no. of orders of buyers/sellers and at which price". This is market depth.

If you are trading Futures, you should be able to see this.

You can't see this is because you are trading Forex.

The disadvantage of trading Forex is that you don't have direct access to the exchange. Hence your price is not exchange price, it's your broker's price.

Your broker is not going to provide you market depth info because their price and exchange price is not going to match.

its a conspiracy. your stops are known. but honestly given everyone is looking at the exact same charts at the exact same indicators... it doesnt take a genius to find those pretty little stops, crash this shiz and take it way higher. but it does.

Anyway before I started electronic Forex trading I did it the old school way by using ah neh money changers. Some more no leverage. 1:1 hahahaha. :D

No matter what the spread given by brokerage beats the money changers hands down!

You can change USD/SGD with only 13 pips more from spot rate. Then withdraw and deposit USD cheque to your DBS eMCA bank account and withdraw as physical USD cash without any service charge. :s13:

Hi everyone, I am new here but find this thread interesting
as TS take the initiative to show how is it to do trading
in Forex.

I attend workshops two decades ago about how to go about
doing trading and what does it involves.

Today we still see lots of advertisements addressing that
doing such trading can be exciting and may give good
returns.

However until today I have not done any because after
seeing friends drained off their savings and some from
borrowed funds of more than 30K to 40K, it is no joke
to see them suffering all these years because they just
could not recover what was lost.

The question is:
why do people take this path hoping to
be "lucky"?
