Forget to buy isn't an excuse.

You bought OPC and now trying to scrimp on the e-day license also?

This habit of buying the license shld be inbuilt into opc owners already. Buy before you drive.

LTA has relaxed the regulations to extend the OPC payment period to 3days after the usage date if you self-declare. Just need to go LTA and fill up an informant form and wait for the invoice to be sent.
Usually just need to pay the $20 + admin fee. The last round my wife forgot and used this method, they only charged $30.

people got away without fine doesn't mean you will got away too.

best is to surrender yourself, considering the admin fee vs fine, worth to pay the admin fee.

if already more than a week, then good luck to you. With so many cameras on the street, end up you will still be the losing end.

Hi,

Any OPC drivers forgot to buy e-day license and got away without paying fine?
This was from when I took the 1-year sabbatical from work to go on course and converted my car to OPC:

My place is 5 min drive away from workshops (less than 10 min walk). No major roads in between. Car was at workshop for some installation work, and workshop was closing at 6pm. I drove my car home thinking, what's 5 min right?

And then the letter came.

Don't ever think you can get away with it, friend.

Currently an opc driver.

My advise is the same, if you buy a opc and wanna drive within the restricted hours, and yet don't want / forget to pay E-day license, my suggestion is to don't drive. It's just $20 and you pay discounted road tax, unlike other bros who buy normal plate cars

She probably did not pay the fine or try to cheat, thats why the fine is so heavy.

TS,

OPC car got alot of rebates already and yet you want to save on just $20 e-day license? Totally unacceptable, as all the bro say.
this is a habit please stay away for OPC cars, forgot is not acceptable ok?
if you can forgot, jolly well change your car to normal plate cars, then this kind of things will not happen? if you cannot afford please do not bother to drive. Just do not wish to see LTA going to change the rules again, because of some black sheep that spoils the market for OPC programs.

Actually, im really unsure how OPC drivers can forget to buy E-day license. Won't you all feel weird driving during restricted hours?

so 5 working days the letter comes...

yes doing those very peak period, when started to jam people who drove those normal plate will definitely see around and once they see those red plate, those normal plate will guess the red plate car got buy license or not,
and some more those drive red plate drive very slow in expway and cause some inconvenience for some normal plate people see them drive so slow in the restricted hours, in non restricted hours if red plates drive slow, no one will care as it is not that peak period, they can over take freely.

I'm usually very skeptical to people who "forget" to pay for the daily license thing. Come on lah you bought an OPC car and enjoyed all the discounts and the red plate is so obvious for you to see every time you walk towards the car. No offence but I just think it is not fair to other road users and unacceptable.
