Hi all, is Fortran still in this business?

I have engaged him for my 1st pc many yrs ago, fantastic service.

I would like to have my 2nd pc setup by him.

Too bad he doesn't setup pc at customer place now. I got the casing so guess no choice but to bring down to Sim Lim (Nigel).

Is there anyone that can assemble pc at my place?
My problem is fixing the mobo/ cpu to the casing. Is that difficult?

He built a PC for me in 2011 and it is still working fine now if not for my dusty room. The dust in my room is no joke, 2 week can accumulate thick layer of snow-like dust. I have been servicing by clearing the dust over the years and now, it has almost reach the end of its life span(maybe can tahan 6months more max). A money well spent though.

So is Fortran still in hwz or do I have to call his number directly to get quotation? Thanks.

He might lurk around, but no guarantee he will notice you. Contact him directly if you're serious. PM him, call him or email him.

I have a 5 year old PC built by him too and besides the severely corroded SATA cable of drive C: that gave me BSOD recently that I changed, the setup is still working absolutely fine in an optimum condition, partly due to the upgrade to an SSD.

To minimize dust entry, you should ensure that the internal of the case is having positive pressure. Air intake (through a filter) should be faster/more than exhaust and make sure the filter is maintained clean. If not air will go in through all possible openings without being filtered because the exhaust fan will pull air out faster and cause a negative pressure internally.

Certain casings have additional openings for extra fans. Cover with plastic sheets if unused.

I tried using the email that he used a few years back. It bounced.

Yes Fotran Ivan is still around. The number still the same.
Just confirmed a new rig from him today and will receive in 2 days.

Excellent service and very thoughtful of him. Ivan has been very patient for all my questions.

Definitely will keep his number for future rigs and I strongly recommend to anyone who wishes to get your new PC built.
