Beat the AI on 100% Unbeatable difficulty in rally race, using the Subaru Impreza 22B. Car is slow but can can win as long as on dirt.

Spring season! Time to get that AE86!

This week all championship tunes using gamepad, anyone can use easily.

My wide body kit 1995 Porsche 911 GT2 for the Street championship, it stays on the wet road.
Share Code: 304 891 695

My 1995 BMW M5 tune for anyone who needs one for the Dirt championship.
Share Code: 153 101 305

Added a video, super easy to control, just keep accelerating and cruise into 1st leisurely.
B Class - 2014 MB Unimog U5023 - Share Code: 471 009 282

PS: If you set difficulty to Unbeatable before you do the championships (which are defaulted to Highly Skilled), you can unlock Unbeatable accolades and get the accolade cars.

Anyone got any good tips on how to turn 90 degrees corner?

I have to almost come to a complete stop to do a 90 degrees turn without knocking the wall, while the AI just slowdown abit, turn and zoom back up.

Normal racing line would be to go wide, brake then turn in and accelerate out. Against AI however, they will overtake you from the inside with their cheat traction.

Second option would be to take the inside, brake until slow enough and then tap handbrake to slide into the turn and accelerate out straight. I did this on my Maserati GTS video 2nd race, first V corner at the start of the race.

Those two are the basics without going into tuning the car. How fast and sharp you can take the corner can be tuned through suspension and differential, but will make the car more twitchy. This is more important on very fast S2 and X class where grip is not enough to correct understeer, like this week's weekly challenge to race my S2 Ferrari where I have to tune it to make sharp turns for circuit racing.

If you want to tune cars to your liking, try this calculator: https://www.forzatuner.com/
It gives decent tunes that are better than stock cars.

Sharing my tune for this week's Trial
1953 Chevrolet Corvette - 388 140 544

Trial gets you 10 points and a car, worth doing, and this week is in A class and easier.

Playing online, better enable ABS and Traction Control, other players will ram you like crazy.

A guy kept ramming me throughout the trial to try and overtake me, even though we are on the same team...
Lucky I still finish faster than him.

I think there are some differences using wheel and controller too.

normally I use controller will release my acceleration let the car maintain a constant speed to turn in the corner, will need to tab multiple times to break if closing in too fast reaching the corner, then I will start to turn the controller wheel, once the car is in corner and stable I will start acceleration again.

different car have different character and need lots of practice to understand the car better, if the game mode does not allow my fav car then this is the general technique I use for now.

some car like FWD is easier to maintain above 100km/h to turn 90 degree corner with some drifting.

RWD is very challenging if it is not tune properly, I will always get drift away to the wall. Best is to maintain a slower than 100km/h to turn into 90 degree corner for RWD.

Playing with steering wheel seems so much more fun.

Last time played with keyboard, every keypress makes a sharp turn.

Then swapped to controller, not as bad as keyboard, but still pretty bad.

Sadly no steering wheel for me to play on.

The basics of driving is the same for both input, differences will be down to the assists you use. Like between standard and simulation steering, standard will dampen input to prevent too sudden turning force and minor adjustments to smoothen out turning. Simulation is more responsive albeit more twitchy on gamepad.

🤭 100% agreed on this

Realise this is a non issue now, noticed usually the 1st or 2nd position online is download the highest power tune and use auto steering and braking with all assists on. Just hold down accelerate and car auto follows the driving line assist perfectly until the end... like the AI...
