First time use privacy wanna try, but mostly due to the fact that the glass can cover almost fully, but I don't really like it dimming and having the anti glare matte effect, makes my HD screen abit blur.

I'm still waiting for a good Clear tempered glass to release then I'll ditch this Privacy Glass :)

As long as the charger state smart charging, u can use it to fast charge right? Any brand will do?

Nope that is not true... manufacturers can put whatever terminologies they want and in the end, will not deliver the technology.

qualcomm's quick charge 2.0 is only supported by chipsets. not any tom dick and harry charger can do it.

As indicated, compatible adaptive fast charger must fulfil 2 electrical features:

1) 9V and 1.67A

2) 5V and 2.0A

If the 9V and 1.67A feature is not indicated, confirm plus chop that is not a compatible fast charger which uses quick charge 2.0.

Don't ask me why got 2 features, all i can tell you is that the technology utilises a chipset which will fast charge at 9V at first, then trickle charge it at the end at 5V. This is why initial charging phase is fast (claims to charge 0-50% in 30mins) while you will realise 90% to 100% is kinda slower...

Also, the 5V and 2A feature indicates it is compatible to all other mobile devices using microusb to charge, thus enabling cross platform compatibility..

i tried to use GSAM battery monitor to see the initial stage of charging. i expected it to be 9V to battery but GSAM showed 4.2V charging voltage to battery. current is also around 1A only.

i also tried to read the quick charge 2.0 specifications but it says the 12V, 9V and 5V is just cater for different type of battery and device only.

sounds like this article is from Android Authority...

Android Authority said:
Class A devices will also work with 5, 9, or 12 volt supplies and can therefore tolerate more power. The range of higher voltages means that a single charger can work with a wide range of devices and also ensures high quality performance by reducing the impact of any voltage losses that appear over long cable distances or poor quality cables.

What its trying to mean is that the range of voltages will allow one charger to work with multiple devices that support quick charge 2.0. Notice what samsung indicated on the note 4 charger, it stated 9V or 5V... that means older devices support 5V only is supported..

However, I'm unsure why your application does not reflect the true voltage..

The coopideas have a USB port staing smart charge at 2.4v. U can give it a try

2.4V? i think you mean 2.4A. assuming the charge voltage is 5V, then 2.4A will deliver only 12W.

If a charge voltage is at 9V with 2A, then its 18watt. 18watt still win 12watt..
