apply those cashline card. eg. dbs cashline, citibank ready credit, etc.
they come with a free checkbook. 1st checkbook should be free.

to prevent incurring any overdraft interest, deposit the amount you want to use into the acct first, then write a check.

Actually no. You just have to credit at least 1500 per month in, not necessarily your salary. Just doing a FAST trsf every month also works according to the RM.

go to ur POSB ibanking, there is a IB cheque feature, the bank will pay for the mailing also, all free. amount is limited tho/

well if u had went to banks to open accounts before most would know they ask whether you want to open a checking account (with cheque book) or normal account ...
